Subscribe to Digital Media Break
When you subscribe to Digital Media Break, you will be doing so via RSS. It’s one of the absolutely most convenient ways to subscribe to digital media - just check your RSS inbox. Your content gets delivered to you there.
What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication - and it’s actually just that simple. If you’ve ever seen the orange RSS icon (there’s one right on the header of this page), then you’ll realize that a lot of sites have an RSS feed - including this one.
The RSS system is two-tiered - there is the feed and the reader. When you click the RSS icon or the RSS link, you will land on a XML page. Just copy the URL, which is the URL of the feed, and paste it into your RSS reader’s “subscribe to” button. You will from then on be updated everytime I post, and the content will be delivered in full to your RSS inbox.
Why RSS?
All your content will be delivered into one universal location. You don’t go looking for my content - my content comes to you. I like the convenience of that - if you don’t and prefer good old bookmarking, that’s still fine. But RSS is going to be extremely convenient - especially for those who have numerous sites/blogs they check daily for updates.
How do I subscribe?
Just click the RSS feed icon and copy the URL of the resulting page you land on (this should be it: http://feeds.feedburner.com/digitalmediabreak). From there, open your RSS reader (I personally use Google Reader) and click on the “subscribe” button. Then enter my feed’s URL into the box and save your settings. You’re done! It’s basically a twenty-second process at most.
